About

Hello! My name is Sally Cressman, and I’d like to thank you for taking the time to find this site and tarry here.

First, let me share some things about myself so you can come to know the person behind the screen. I am a Wisconsin native, Texas transplant and now Tennessee settler, keeping residence in the Greater Nashville Area. I am married with three grown children and enjoying the empty nest phase of life.

I came across this writing adventure many years ago in a most unusual path. I had spent the first 10 years out of college in the Oil and Gas Industry training others on the computer. Not feeling fulfilled at this job, I noticed my church was offering a CLASS Seminar (Christian Leaders Authors Speakers Seminar), so I signed up. This short but impactful event kindled the desire to write.

For the next several years I learned the craft, drafted a few articles, changed some diapers, re-wrote the articles, changed more diapers, attended writers conferences, re-wrote….As you can guess, not much was worthy of publication back then.

In the past 10 years, my freelance adventures have stretched me to write preschool curriculum for LifeWay Christian Resources, devotionals for the Brentwood Baptist JourneyOn Today online app, several articles and a children’s story for Focus on the Family, and now a blog.

In the white space between foraging for the right word and hitting the publish key, I hope to share with you the joys and struggles of a Jesus follower who desires to move forward in her relationship with an unchanging, ever-faithful God.

I know your world is busy (I’ve been there!), but I hope you will check in now and then so we can journey together through the bumps and bruises, discouragement and despair, and on other days, the joys and jollities of life.
