See You at the Pole

Next Wednesday, September 25 is a prayer event called See You At the Pole. According to the SYATP website:

See You at the Pole™, the global day of student prayer, began in 1990 as a grassroots movement with ten students praying at their school. Twenty years later, millions pray on their campuses on the fourth Wednesday in September.

See You at the Pole™ is simply a prayer rally where students meet at the school flagpole before school to lift up their friends, families, teachers, school, and nation to God. See You at the Pole™ is a student-initiated, student-organized, and student-led event.Here are some of the who, what, where, when and whys of the day:

WHO: This is for students of all ages. The event is student-initiated, student-organized and student-led.

WHAT: This is a prayer event that happens before school, on the school grounds, around the flag pole. The organization encourages students to plan ahead of time. Who will lead the prayer? Who will end the prayer? Should they include praise and worship music or scripture reading?

WHERE: At your child’s school. Be sure to have your child notify the principal of the event.

WHEN: Wednesday, September 25 (times will vary by school)

WHY: Because our children, students, faculty, government, and nation need prayer!
