Gracious Father,
Bless those moms who are anxious or overwhelmed with the role of motherhood amidst this pandemic. Grant them a sense of peace. Wrap your arms around them and assure them that they will get through this with Your help. Remind them that they are uniquely equipped for this job. May they heed the call to come to you, for only you give the rest they so desperately need. Replace their yokes with Your’s which is easy and their burdens with Your burden which is light (Matthew 11:28).
Bless those who had or still have a complex relationship with their mothers. Give them the courage to forgive and reconcile. Remind them that You walk with them through all their trials so they will not be overwhelmed or consumed (Isaiah 43:2). Help them to move forward with new dreams, new thoughts, and new lives through your transforming spirit.
Bless those who are separated from their moms. May healthy connections be made that minister to both mother and child. Wash away any regrets. Whether they meet face to face or are absent from each other, help them to stand firm in the faith until that time they can meet again (Philippians 1:27).
Bless those who have lost their mother and are grieving this loss. Bring joyful memories to mind. Help them to give thanks for every remembrance of their mothers always praying with joy (Philippians 1:3). Speak into their hearts that You are with them. Remind them that You hear their cries and see their tears. Replace their sorrow with joy today.
Bless those mothers that have lost a child. Give them an extra measure of Your grace and kindness today. May You use their pain for Your glory. Help them to see a future of joy and gladness. May Your banner of love drape over them today. Remind them that You bless those who mourn and provide comfort in their deepest grief (Matthew 5:4).
Bless those want-to-be mothers whose arms are still empty. Minister to them in their pain. Show them Your grace and mercy. Tenderly hold them in Your arms and comfort them with Your love. Assure them that You have not left them. May You, the God of hope, fill them with all joy and peace as they believe in You so that they may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).
Bless all moms this day. May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace (Number 6:24-26).
