I wish I could say I prayed bold, eloquent prayers for my first child—but I did not. My desperate pleas sounded more like: Lord, I do not want this child to turn out like me. Lord, I have no clue what to do. Help me!
Dear New Mom (or Mom-to-be),
Congratulations! A lifetime of adventure awaits you. As you cradle your wee one, marvel at this child. Enjoy this season of life for the time will whisk by. Poof! You’ll wake up one morning and your baby will be wearing a graduation robe and longing for freedom at college far away from you.
